      Pros

      Apple is a growing company, and though very big, people are always friendly. It really looks like Apple is still a very big startup, where almost everyone gets along.

      Cons

      Sometimes, Apple is a little shy about telling the world they made a mistake, when they did it. I'm sure it wouldn't change a thing. Sure, there's some secrecy about new products, but there shouldn't be about those already out.

      Pros

      If you believe in the brand then working for Apple is a dream come true. The people are friendly, for the most part the managers are competent. The discount on Apple products is good - up to 27% - and the occasional free iPhone/iPod helps to sweeten the deal.

      Cons

      Beware - there is no career development at Apple Retail. Vague statements like "the company is expanding rapidly - there are so many opportunities" and "you have to make your own positions" are used to stave off any criticism. This is particularly bad for "Mac Geniuses" because their role is technical in a retail environment there is no where else to go. Also, people performing exactly the same job earn different amounts. Because pay is considered confidential, if you raise this with a manager you potentially face disciplinary action for discussing your salary!

      friendly work environment; solid new employee training; paid technology training; flexible hours for parttime employees; great product discounts; very satisfying to provide terrific services that change lives; best customer service provider in the world; great cooperation and support among non-management employees; cool & modern facilities;

      Cons

      having to spend your time selling cellphone service for iphone; association with AT & T; poor compensation and rewards for outstanding employees--pretty much everyone is equal; mixed messages from management about what is more important--helping customers or making sales quotas; too much emphasis on selling extras that new users don't need right away;
