      Pros

      If you don't think much of yourself, this is the place for you. They will beat you into the ground and give all the money to the hourly people. If you are hourly, you will have no say in anything, but you will get near unlimited overtime, whether you like it or not.

      Cons

      Managers have unlimited expressed authority, but no actual ability to get things done without commitees, meetings, and ultimately rejection of any value added proposal.

      Interesting company but a bit old-fashioned

      Pros

      -Steel industry leader: you really feel part of a big company with global reach. If you are interested in steel this is the place to be. -Good brand on CV. -Nice and relaxed work environment and colleagues: very collaborative company. -Competent and experienced people who can provide good coaching (but this will depend on the manager).

      Cons

      -Old-fashioned offices with uncomfortable desks and small screens (but this depends on the division/budget) -Inadequate IT systems -Lack of communication and latent "conflict" between divisions: "us" versus "them" mentality -No canteen/subsidised lunches .

      Pros

      Great benefits, secure job when I was there , good learning and development opportunities . It's a company where people from different departments work together seamlessly for the betterment of company which I found to be unique . This was probably due to profit sharing .

      Cons

      Middle management is not capable of implementing 21 century people management skills . Old school style with a lot of yelling and micromanagement .
