Pros

A lot of room for improvement and room to move up in the company if your willing to stick out the boring atmosphere and location.

Cons

Terrible location and poor facilities, just not a comfortable place to work.

Pros

Overtime availability, above average 401 k company contributions and matching, great learning experience, great people, job security, and above average health insurance

Cons

Steel mills are dirty places to work in...much of the equipment in use is approaching end of life resulting in higher frequency of maintenance.

Pros

Opportunity to develop Project management skills with help from superiors. Also learnt a lot about the fast paced environment with a high regard to safety and good manufacturing practices. Excellent mentor who would continually discuss process issues and allow me to be in the loop of things thereby grow professionally.

Cons

Being a steel industry environment, the place was extremely dirty. A lot of safety related accidents have taken place at the site so might seem daunting to take up a task in certain areas of the plant. Not at all diverse culturally - so did feel like an odd man out at times.
