      Pros

      Excellent health insurance, most of the people were "good people" (the kind of people you would want to know), real wealth of talent and knowledge, many people were deeply committed and engaged with the company's work

      Cons

      Deeply divisive politics at many levels, multitudes of outdated and overly complex technological systems, some of the corporate training and development tactics were laughably out of touch with the actual employees

      Great industrial environment to learn in. On site/field work is as close to hands-on as you can get in a union shop. Good people. A lot of experience. A lot of room to shine.

      Attitudes, expectations, some poor management.

      Pros

      As a global company, they did an excellent job of fostering a sense of value in each employee, investing in professional growth opportunities and providing incentives for performance. They also focused on collective knowledge across the corporation by promoting collaboration between sites and sharing information through a global network, especially when it came to safety.

      Cons

      Each site seemed to have a different culture. While there was a healthy cooperative attitude between labor and management, other sites held a more adversarial nature.
