job opportunities brand recognition recognizes the importance of family and taking care of your health, generally fair with providing time off for health issues

Cons

Company too large. Senior Management does not make decisions unless approved by Management Board. Company appears to be micromanaged. Employees are quite dispensible. Base pays are below standard. Arcelor type management changed drastically with Mittal merger. No where near the same company Arcelor was. Too many changes take place without letting the first change take hold and see results. Employees don't know which direction they are going in. Company still working out overlaping jobs from merger of Arcelor and Mittal

It was challenging by developing & costing new manufacturing processes for new/different tubular products for the tubular/automotive industry. It was a comradary/friendly workplace where everyone was helpful with their input of experiences/information & know how when questions were asked... Everyone pulled together to move the company forward & meet its goals. It was an excellent atmosphere to work in....

Cons

The company went through many name changes & different management styles thus going in many different directions. Risks were not taken when they should of & opportunities were lost...This would of helped through these ecomomic times...

Pros

Good job opportunties, with a wide variety of work and the ability to learn about many different aspects of the business. The company also strives to make the work place safe and have implemented many safety requirements which did not exist prior to Laksmi Mittals take over. Safety is a large concern at Arcelor Mittal.

Cons

Different programs being offerred and never followed through. Trying to centralize or make one program fit all plant locations can have good intentions, but negative results. Having programs that homoginze each plant to look and feel like every other plant brings about a sense of being part of the "team" but also seems to neglect the good aspects of how one plant could or should operate better than another.
