Pros

For almost three years Argus was the best company I've ever worked for. This is due entirely to the fantastic team I found myself with in London and the family culture that has been cultivated over time. The head of marketing was trusting and supportive allowing autonomous work without micromanagement. The role offered ample opportunity to learn new skills and benefited collaboration with a team of hard-working, passionate individuals.

Cons

No career pathways, though these have been promised. Limited opportunity for promotion. Unfortunately, a recent senior hire in marketing has broken what was an effective machine that simply needed some investment, resulting in a majority of the global team leaving the business over the space of two months. A significant restructure, deployed with a flawed and chaotic approach, has brought the demise of a department that has worked tirelessly to improve processes and help the company continue to meet financial goals. Outmoded thinking and lack of direction destabilised the team creating an environment of confusion and mistrust in senior management. Frustratingly, a restructure that was supposed to offer opportunities for promotion (almost all talented staff who applied for new roles were overlooked) has been followed by significant budget spent outsourcing marketing efforts. This further demonstrates the lack of investment in the team and the misguided judgement of new senior management in marketing.
