Pros

Good external brand. Good for your resume if you work there as graduate. You will learn from your poor work experience there, will not let any boss in your future jobs to undermine you.

Cons

Poor management culture. The company is more drived and governed by British and Anglo Saxon. I had worked in five other companies before working for Aurecon; nowhere experienced bullying as experienced at Aurecon.

Pros

Beautiful office, nice location, nice people and a professional working environment. I liked the green office layout colour scheme and overall had a positive experience

Cons

There is no parking near the office and no offer of a parking space and not as much access to a company car as my previous employers

Pros

Industry average pay or less Good corporate level marketing, if that matters to you Will be publicly listed in a few years, which should wipe out at least some of the dead wood. If you are willing to wait that long.

Cons

Run by management consultants who have never done any technical work in their lives. Underneath the hype and, lets be honest, only semi-glossy exterior, this is as old school an engineering firm as you will find anywhere that can be accessed without a time machine. Aurecon is a great example of how employee ownership can fail - The owners are an increasingly isolated bunch of old men whose only idea to grow and future-proof their company is to charge top dollar for under-resourced skeleton teams, who they think will work their butts off for no rewards and no hope of ever joining the owners club. And who all balk at the idea of doing so if they make it that far, which the good ones don’t...
