Pros

I've had a terrific experience working for BASF in the PDP. The commercial program has 3 rotations in marketing, sales and procurement. 8 months each. I've had the opportunity to live in really cool cities and learn about vastly different industries. BASF paired me up with a peer mentor (someone in the program) and an executive mentor (director or VP or higher position). Both of which have helped guide me through each rotation. They cover all moving expenses, realtor expenses, offer a competitive salary with bonus (very aligned with many college grads in accounting/engineering related fields), great 401 K plan, fitness reimbursements. I've had a huge say in what assignments I've worked on and what locations I got to work in. I even had the opportunity to create my own assignment by working with a manager who was interested in having me work for them. I've filled in many gaps and areas I wanted to improve upon. There is also a big community of participants in the program and I have made some great friends in the program which has really added to the overall experience. Once again, I've had a terrific experience working for BASF in the Professional Development Program.

Cons

I would say any cons of the program are really relative. If you wanted to do a similar job for 2 years, this program probably isn't for you. The program is also really selective so you do have to put some work into it to receive an offer.
