Pros

-Stores run on small staff counts, so having the right people on your team with the availability that works for your stores needs is perfect. Holiday hiring then becomes easier as well side you only need to hire 7-10 staff that will assist in sales, replenishment and shipments. -Customers drive themselves in, it is the staffs responsibilities to sell and up sell products. -Staff are accountable for their sales. Although non commission based reporting is pulled weekly based on their sales and hours are allotted on the schedule accordingly. Top sellers are the sellers you want on your sales floor most.

Cons

-Tenured staff are not accustomed to the personal sales goals and give push back which in not a company flaw but indeed may be used as a preparation tactic.

Pros

None really. It's just another retailer. Discount can be nice but the sale always out weighs it. It's a no win.

Cons

No balance. Expectations are high and unachievable. Managers will talk about other managers behind their backs. If you ask questions to better yourself, secretly your chastised. They have no qualms writing you up for the smallest things. Clock out a minute early, documented conversation. Stay late they have a problem. Leave on time your not dedicated. "goals" every two hours are crazy. If your scheduled to work it's very easy to be called and say don't come to work since sales are not being met. It has not been uncommon to have 1 manager and 1 associate work alone on a Friday due to slow sales. Key Performance Indicators are unobtainable at times when working with customers for three minutes or less. $10 an hour is nice but NOT competitive in the mall. Recently the company dropped all assistant salaried managers and replaced them with $14 hourly supervisors. A free lotion or spray here and there is nice but it's not worth the stress. Floor sets are suppose to be until 1-2am. They end up being from 7pm until 7am then they expect you back in only hours afterwards. Company culture is not friendly. Corporate management doesn't understand what happens at the store level and the difficulties and challenges teams are faced with. Mid-level management above stores can be very unsupportive in times of need. And the management bonus structure, is impossible to obtain.

Pros

Meeting some really great customers and getting to try new products/getting gratis. Thats about it to be really honest. More cons than pros.

Cons

Everything else. No work life balance. You have to do things alone that should take 2-3 people. Teamwork is preached but they don't payroll your store to have a team.
