Pros

Free product when a new 1 lotion comes 30% discount

Cons

Higher Managers talk about associates and not in a good way...they rate them from 1-3 with 1 being the best...they say if your a 3 you wont get any hrs thats a lie..i changed someone to a 1 n the store manager changed her hrs they claim the computer schedules u yes it is true but if the SM wanted to schedule you they could change it...they always leave associates on the floor to run there segments while they sit in the back, guess what they bonus and you dont...im leaving this company when i can i dont respect how they treat ppl here unless you really work your butt off and kiss some butt u wont move up and when u work too hard you wont move because they want you to stay there and do all the work...yes you will get hrs but only fr nov-jan after that maybe you'll have 8hrs in one week..only managers have the hrs all year..i love this company but things need to change

Pros

There is a great deal of time and effort put into educating the store teams to better serve the customer. The area I worked in allowed for growth and movement within the districts. Valuable experience in learning and understanding workforce management. This company will push you to learn and execute quickly. Smart company with growth. Customer Focused at all times. Great product

Cons

I would say that part of my pros would be able to constitute as cons too. I had the pleasure of working for 3 DMs (1 temp and 1 in each district I worked in) I was only in the business for about a year and there were inconsistencies between each of the leadership I worked under. I was able to take away something from each of them but I found that there were great differences in each sending me mixed messages on what was most important to the company. One was very open to creative thinking and trying new ways of merchandising to capture customers and one was strict on following everything to the "T" without much flexibility. One was very accessible and the other was somewhat unreachable at times. One was less abrasive than the other. I found that the first DM I worked with took time to understand my thought process then offered her insight and guidance. The other was very much by the book and wasn't prepared to bend. Obviously, I felt more comfortable with the DM who spent more time teaching vs the one who directed. But, I will tell you this: The one who micro managed was very smart and business savvy. She was an internal promote who knew her business. She was just not a fit for me. When I left, I stated honestly that I was no longer happy here and it was not a fit for me. I was disappointed because I was told she would reach out to me prior to my last day and I did not receive my last paycheck until the cycle ended vs your standard separation check. I respected the company enough to work with the integrity that I would have if it were day one on my last day. I have read some of the other comments about this market and the leadership. It is a hard thing to manage people who are not happy or if turnover is high (in my area it was). I feel as though they should say something directly. There have been some nasty comments flying around. I have heard the rumors for myself and have had some of the same experiences. This is just not the forum. You may come aboard and love the company and the leadership just like those who have been there for 10 years+ or you may have an experience similar to my own. I still chat from time to time with a few folks who are still there and love it. I still chat from time to time with those who have left and hated it. With any job it is a role of the dice. Your experience will be your own.
