Pros

Great products overall. Earning Gratis every month is a plus because you can give your own personal testimony on new products. Most of the time you are able to speak to your manager about scheduling and they can be flexible based on your needs. Discounts would be great if they could be used on top of deals--90% of the time, in-store coupons earn you a better deal, but the VS discount is a nice perk.

Cons

The recent restructure to essentially the entire company has taken its toll on business. SPAH tracking has really hurt many stores in our district and I believe that as we move forward into holiday season, it will only create more problems within the stores because so many associates will be pressured to make sales and it will create an unnecessary competitive and dishonest environment. Upper management is stressing sales and SPAH, and while they embellish it with "having fun with customers" and creating "a great experience for everyone", the focus is purely on making numbers and it puts a damper on the sales team. Do not work here if you dislike a fast-paced environment that measures your individual success based on just dollars that you can persuade someone to spend.

Not worth waking up for.

Pros

They give you a free bottle of lotion at orientation. The starting pay is decent for someone just starting out.

Cons

Even though you are hired thinking you're full time, they only schedule you for one 4 hour shift a week, sometimes skipping a week here and there.

Pros

Bath & Body is a fun and upbeat place to work. I worked here part time during all 4 years of college. As I used to tell customers, employees get paid to play in their favorite store all day. Management sets friendly competition between the different stores in the district, and there are rewards for exceeding sales plan.

Cons

Scheduling is based directly on your sales. High sales mean more hours. This is good for employees who are good at selling, but there's more than just selling to the business. There can be good cashiers and good replenishers who don't get scheduled because their sales aren't high enough (which is what happened to me). It's a catch 22 because low sales mean less hours, and with less hours, you have less opportunity to get your sales up.
