Pros

The location and employee discounts.

Cons

It used to be a decent job in a great company. Now, it's just the definition of micromanagement. Everything is about numbers, even if targets are met they will squeeze out more and more of employees until they eventually resign and they can hire someone new for less money. This goes especially for employees that speak up about problems - that's the fastest way to paint a target on your back. And if they won't find a reason to fire those people they will systematically manage people out, leaving just enough room for interpretation to discourage employees from suing them. And if there is a lawsuit they will make sure to keep it a secret instead of tackling problems. I used to love to work there, but it's been getting worse and worse over the recent years. Especially the HR department has a very disrespectful und unprofessional manner and plays power games. Which may be as per instruction by higher management.

Pros

Probably the best place to work in the games industry in terms of compensation, job security, and work life balance. Good pay and benefits, unless you are in a support role. Fun culture. Talented and passionate workers, mostly gaming geeks.

Cons

The culture that Blizzard is famous for is slowly dying. "Every voice matters" no longer means company-wide input on games and testing, instead all games are developed in secret from anyone outside the development teams. "Commit to quality" appears to be going out the door, while financial considerations and development speed have become driving factors. Leadership in my department is nepotistic, so you're better off sucking up to the right person than being a high performer.

Pros

Awesome Perks- Fly everybody to Vegas for a blow out? Great co-workers who are passionate about gaming. Interesting people who are into your company and make you feel like a gaming rockstar!

Cons

Sometimes very political operations teams with some very manipulative execs are now in control. If you are on a game team you are protected but if you are in the IT or Operations groups, keep your friends close but your enemies closer as they game like Survivor in these areas (Non-Game primarily)
