Pros

The people at Blizzard as great. There's a lot of passionate folks, and they're all very nice.

Cons

There's not as much high level planning for technology. Career opportunities are basically non existent. They're opaque about pay. A lot of executive shenanigans with stock buybacks and such which leads me to believe that games are secondary. A total lack of communication about plans for the company or addressing issues of pay. Since I've started a lot of cool perks have been walked back.

Pros

Laid back culture that encourages general nerdiness and individuality, at least on the surface. Throws a banger of a Christmas party.

Cons

Pretends to care about lower level employee feedback and value internal training and promotions, but systematically ignores the feedback they say they want, and will use the promise of internal training programs and promotions at some vague later date (that is always changing and never seems to actually arrive) as a carrot on a stick to get you to put up with soul destroying work and low pay longer than you otherwise would. Austin, TX location is very clearly the redheaded stepchild of the US operation compared to the Irvine, CA office. Also, they will have rounds of mass layoffs roughly once every 3-4 years so they can inflate their profit numbers.
