Very good WLB

Pros

As an IC you don't need to worry about a lot of other things, like strategy planning, knowledge sharing, it's all taken care by other teams who are specialised in it. You can focus on what you want to do. This is very different than most of the tech start-ups or scale-ups, where as an IC you are expected to do anything since there is no structure. In the meantime, there are a lot of internal resources for you to learn and grow, not necessarily for promotions, but your personal interest.

Cons

Relatively long reporting lines, it's hard to picture yourself getting promoted even working for a long time.
