Pros

Some genuine fellow feeling for employees. There are many fringe benefits that they don't need to offer to be competitive but they do, and they encourage us to use them. There is a clear awareness that it is better to keep employees rather than hire new and so there is effort to keep employees on, even when there are not doing billable work, and to provide internal mobility, and many opportunities for continuing education. There's lots of opportunity for remote work and to shape your career and work experience.

Cons

The salaries are not as high as some as their direct competitors - that's fine if you take advantage of all the other benefits but if you want salary first and foremost than it will be lower. It's also a very slow increase and not easy to get raises. They are one of the big consulting companies and so you are subject to the politics of that, lots of defense contracting, and shrinking civil sector, and unsavory capitulating to the administration: e.g. removing DEI language, contributing to the White House Ballroom

Pros

Push the policies that encourage morals over profit (ex don't work more than you should be on a project for hours permitted; if you do, report it and it will be met with appropriate support and not punishment). Consistent pay increases (ever year or 6 months of min 3%) so long as you are on a project or projects equal to that span of time. Spending budget for education and educational tools. Free Udemy account and alternatives optional using educational credits. Encouragement to seek accreditation and certifications. Matching 401k's, great people and competent and kind people

Cons

Long waits for projects (months at a time), pay isn't as competitive while you are with the company (bare bones raises), no bonuses to associate level employees only management, Dropped off on supporting a group that focused on expanding people's perspectives with monthly BRAVE discussions; everything from disabilities, identifying inequity, and culture around BAH

Pros

Amazing teams. The people I work with on the ground are some of the most knowledgeable professionals I have worked with. They have clear passion for the field. Benefits are standard for the industry.

Cons

Difficult leadership, while those I directly report to have been great and supportive for the most part. Those at the executive level tend to be non responsive. They give non answers to big questions at company all hands. Compensation is also low considering competitors at the same experience and job level in the same market with some benefits recently being cut.
