Pros

Not the highest in the industry, but decent offer for first year join contingent on staying for a year.

Cons

Verbally abused as a newcomer because of "cultural differences." You are reminded constantly from day one that your job is at risk. The disposable attitude towards developers leads to most people owning apps that they do not understand, and fear of being fired prevents people from doing proper development. Knowledge transfer is minimal because bringing others to your level means your job is at risk. Stack ranking is to the detriment of the product and development experience. Teamwork is not promoted. Low innovation room on majority of teams. Required to be available off hours and over weekend in addition to normal on-call rotations. In office hours are required, but still you won't be working closely with your team.

Pros

Good pay relative to other software jobs in the area. Lots of different areas of the company so there's always new things to learn

Cons

Performance review process is quite terrible. You can easily be caught off guard and face a PIP. Worse also is that the entire stack ranking process creates too much unnecessary anxiety and leads to lack of trust. Internal tools and processes can be a bit finnicky. Return to office policy feels pretty pointless with so many teams scattered around.

Pros

- Most engineers I worked with were great and super collaborative. - (It would be a pro if you don't work here)

Cons

- Burn out 24/7, mental health took a toll. Personal life even was heavily impacted because of how the culture and stack ranking is. - Leadership blows, lots of dishonest people who act like they like you, they want to support you, but then they back-stab you. - Everyone gets pipped, no one is safe anymore, doesn't matter how well you do, it's all politics - Toxic culture - The "Bar" doesn't exist, and for some reason it keeps going up and up somehow. I basically did work which would be considered my role if I were promoted. - You won't get promoted unless you enjoy kissing butt.
