Pros

Cargill manages to recruit and retain some of the best talent that I've seen. Bright people with good ideas.

Cons

Cargill relies on it's reputation to recruit and retain top talent, but the next generation is less interested in that reputation and more interested in the cash.

Pros

Cargill has great people and is very relationship oriented. If you're interested in international experience, Cargill encourages people to take overseas assignments. There is a long history of solid business ethics that leaders hold onto strongly.

Cons

As with most companies, there are pockets of very poor leadership in places. Cargill has become very focused on reducing costs, often in a non-productive and short sighted manner. Although it is a private company, Cargill has begun reacting to short term revenue slumps more like a public company - cutting costs severely as opposed to building for the future.
