      Great work life balance Attention to employees' family needs

      Many people believe if you do not come from the ranks you cannot be successful as a leader Recent lay offs have changed the culture a bit, lots of promises have been broken Senior management's handling of latest crisis has not been the best

      Great Company, Misguided business unit leadership

      Pros

      A very diverse company with many advancement opportunities. It's privately held can cash rich. Good culture if you work for the right business unit. Cargill has over 60 different business units.

      Cons

      Lack of accountability and a sense that business unit management was detached from reality. Too many silos and politics led to a toxic culture where you were reprimanded for challenging the Status Quo. Company as a whole too a knee jerk reaction to recent financial struggles in cutting in areas that added significant value.
