Pros

The company offers great development and career growth opportunities for those who seek them. If you’re focused on finding ways to grow, you’ll find strong support from people around you. There is a diverse range of opportunities, including cross-functional stretch assignments, mentorship programs for young professionals, internal trainings, and community-support initiatives. The main reason I stay with the company is its people: dedicated and inspiring, who create an environment that encourages both personal and professional growth.

Cons

There is a lot of change, as in any international company nowadays. If you’re uncomfortable working in an ambiguous environment, this may not be the right place for you.

Pros

DT&T drives Cargill’s digital transformation, meaning your work directly influences global food supply chains, sustainability efforts, and operational efficiency. Opportunity to contribute to projects that improve food security and sustainability worldwide. Cargill operates in over 70 countries, so DT&T roles often involve global collaboration. Work on solutions that impact millions of customers and partners across diverse markets. Strong focus on professional development through training, certifications, and mentorship. Opportunities to move across different technology domains or into leadership roles. Inclusive and diverse teams that value innovation and continuous improvement. Emphasis on teamwork and knowledge sharing across functions and geographies. Cargill is a privately held, financially stable company with a long history. Mission-driven work aligned with feeding the world and promoting sustainability. Many DT&T roles offer hybrid or remote work options. Supportive environment for balancing personal and professional priorities.

Cons

Cargill is a large, established company with decades of systems and processes. Integrating modern digital solutions with legacy infrastructure can be challenging and slow. Digital transformation in a global enterprise often moves at a measured pace due to risk management, financial dependencies and compliance. Large corporate structure means multiple layers of approvals and governance. Decision-making can be slower compared to startups or smaller tech firms. Some business units may be hesitant to adopt new technologies or processes. Change management can be a significant part of the role. Unlike tech companies, Cargill’s digital work is mostly internal-facing. May not provide the same level of external recognition or brand visibility for tech professionals.
