Pros

-The beautiful officer center laid back in the woods in Wayzata just off of Lake Minnetonka. -The flexible work from home/work from the office culture (pre-Covid) -Benefits we’re pretty good -You’re treated like a human being by management

Cons

-Constant restructuring -Overly corporate culture -Extremely political on social issues -Culture has really changed over time, and not in a good way

Pros

Great pay and solid hours

Cons

They don't care about employees. You can be left to do a two person job by yourself. Everyone else in the room staring at thier phones while you are working non stop. Even the supervisors are staring at their phones all the time. Not to mention the people who go outside for smoke breaks and light up a joint. I don't see how they had the time when your 15 min break is more like five and the 30 min break is closer to 20 minutes. The company cares more about the living beings they slaughter than the living beings that do the slaughtering

Overwork and underpay, this is the Cargill way!

Pros

Vacation days are decent and the benefits are average for most companies. There are some opportunities to volunteer and participate in community efforts.

Cons

Cargill has goals that are so aggressive that most businesses and employees have no way of achieving these goals. This is even more of an issue when your bonus is tied to business performance. Pay is low compared to competitors and morale is not good, which is why you see so much turnover below the management level (most managers are paid well and have a corporate sponsor backing their career progression). Due to constant budget issues, the business is always looking to cut corners and save money, sometimes that means cutting much needed positions. This leads to double and triple workloads for certain employees. The culture is exceptionally toxic, filled with back stabbing and lying. I have also witnessed numerous examples of sexism and racism, but leadership and HR never followed up on those reports.
