Progressive, fun, fair and challenging.
Pros
This is a company in changing times and moving at fast pace in how they manage their people, the portfolios and products. The CEO is an inspiring lady who has boundless energy, enthusiasm, clear leadership and is just brilliant (even when cracking the whip!). The COO is very commercial, straight forward, (with a cracking sense of humour!) and also brilliant and I have been lucky to work closely with both of them. I reported into the Head of HR who is calm, exceptionally hard working, fair and fun. Whilst I was pregnant I was treated exceptionally well and given flexibility when needed in fact it made going on maternity leave feel vaguely organised and chilled! Over the past few years things have been put in place like the Development Board where anyone can apply for a place and contribute to the employee experience such as organising wellbeing sessions, winter half day fun, running charity events, and generally working to improve communications. Performance reviews and how people are managed have improved. The portfolios have been streamlined to leverage how the brands can work. There are various other perks like free breakfast etc Being in the HR team has meant I have seen warts and all and let me be honest, no company is perfect and Centaur has challenges but working here will give you a chance to progress, be inspired by the leaders around you and have an input in shaping the organisation. I worked hard for Centaur but in return I got a great location, environment but more than I got support and opportunity to make a difference with some great people.
Cons
Very few. Location can be good and bad. The pace is quick which won't suit everyone.
