Overworked for the pay

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Free food, nice coworkers, everyone can agree they hate their job, but if you suffered enough, your paycheck looked pretty nice.

Cons

You have stupid amounts of work for the pay that you get, your usually there 2 hours after closing so you would get home around midnight, 8 hour shifts are terrible, every shift, there’s usually at least 1-3 customers who will make a scene over the smallest inconvenience and if you ask for certain hours you’ll usually get the response “no I need you on this day”. So basically if you love to be inconvenienced, overworked, talked down on by customers and feel underpaid for your work, then work here :)

Management/Cooperate Does Not Care.

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Your fellow employees will make you feel like you have a family if you get the right location. Free food used to be a pro, but I believe new hires do not get this anymore.

Cons

Expected to do a crazy amount of work with few people. Even if you have enough people hired, they want you to get through the day with as little people scheduled as possible. Cooperate simply does not care, and normally management does not either. You're expected to work when sick despite handling food (I had this personally happen several times). I was stuck on the same job (frying) without getting to move up/learn prep for over a year of working there despite my trainer pushing for me to be given more opportunities. No longer get a free employee meal, and I never got my break. I always had to work my full 8 hours without a break, maybe I had a 3 minutes to eat something quickly. This was due to how busy we were and having to run on so few people :) Chipotle used to have values and culture I appreciated. They no longer do.
