      Challenging culture and overbearing management

      Pros

      The college and tuition benefits were honestly the best part.

      Cons

      The overall culture was tough to deal with and the expectations on employees often felt unreasonable. From what I experienced the management could come across as very controlling and some leaders seemed insecure in their roles which made the whole place feel tense and uncomfortable. I also saw situations where certain employees especially people who were newer to the country seemed like they were being taken advantage of or held to different standards and that really bothered me. Communication in the store often turned into gossip and little circles instead of actual teamwork which made it hard to keep a healthy work environment. This is just my personal experience but these things made the job a lot harder than it needed to be.

      Good Bones, Poor High-up Management

      Pros

      Well organized on-boarding and training procedures. Lots of helpful learning tools.

      Cons

      Disorganized management. Field leaders would come in and micro manage our flow that worked well. Field leader would come in to "help" or "teach" but would not be wearing food safe attire. Scarf on, hair down, showing us how to not cross-contaminate while doing it right in front of us. In house managers were not allowed to turn off DML even if we did not have the staff to work both make lines.
