Pros

Company as a whole does some good things in the world - supporting sustainable agriculture ect. Good food. If you get a job as a crew member and your manager is good then the job can be fun.

Cons

If you get in as crew in a restaurant with a bad manager or you get involved in a position above crew level and have to deal with some of the upper management your life will be hell. Paranoid upper management will throw people under the bus to save their own skin. Don't be surprised if you work hard for many years, receive a lot of praise and then, suddenly, out of the blue, find yourself getting fired. This company as a whole has no loyalty to it's employees, even the ones that they claim are their highest performers. Have a back up plan if you work for them. Chipotle will sell you on a lot of high ideals but very few of the people in charge seem to actually understand those ideals. Their ideas of "high performance" are being twisted to require people to become workaholics and paranoid. The company begins to feel very cult like after awhile and people who question upper management are eliminated, quickly. While the Company does do some good things in the world there are other ways to support those good causes then to risk your personal piece of mind and career by working for them.

Pros

Great food, Paid breaks Free meal every shift

Cons

Written negative feedback In the form of journals, only verbal positive feedback. New location hired too many people, let us got within a month or so with hints about or poor customer service or something else they could use as an excuse

Pros

The food is good and fresh the music is cool and ambient had fun times with the crew members

Cons

Being threatened that if you dont perform to a higher standard that you will be let go is not how you treat your employees. Their "high standards" is a joke, the fact is they want people doing more work then they should, and quite frankly no body follows procedures. I worked and tried my hardest yet i was getting harped on for the smallest things when other people were doing much worse. You learn to fear your general manager because our manager came in and nit picked everything and it made you feel like you couldnt do anything right. It started off good but as time went on it went downhill. Thst is why the turnover rate is so high, is because they want only "top performers" which most people arent. Chipotle really needs to work on treating their employees with more respect and giving them time to grow instead of threatening to cut them and making comments about it.
