Pros

Great benefits: company car, laptop, cell phone. Opportunity to serve food with integrity. Fast paced environment and happy customer base.

Cons

Senior management is awful. They treat everyone like slaves and expect managers to work 60+ hours every week. The past two years I was only able to use half my vacation time! 2010 I used 1 of 3 available weeks and no one even batted an eye or said thanks. There is a true disconnect between the restaurants and regional staff and they provide very little support. I oversaw 2 restaurants and probably spent a total of 3 hrs a month with my Team Leader and even less with my Team Director. Food with integrity is something they have achieved.. now how about treating your people with integrity... The animals are treated better than the employees!!!!!!

Pros

Chipotle encourages promotion from within, which means most employees that move up in the company have started from the bottom, and learned all levels of operation.

Cons

The pay to wait, even for people with experience, could be better, although the wait is not long for those that prove themselves as qualified

Pros

Food! Everything about it, the taste, the price, how we got it. Made me proud to be a part of it. Simple concept to run.

Cons

The simplicity does not allow for autonomy. The upper management tells u how to get from point A to point B. Very ghestapo like qualities. People are afraid to take sabbatical leave because they think they will get fired when they return. A real aura of fear and insincerity abounds in Texas. You are not allowed to question otherwise you don't get "it". The "it" is elusive and ever-changing. Politics play a bigger than needed role in every promotion. They are not merit based. Company looks great on paper but is doing a lot of things the wrong way.
