The culture is definitely in a declining state and despite upper management being aware of the issues, little solutions are being identified or implemented to improve. The C level mgmt is very quick to make personal judgments on employees and it's very difficult to recover if that C-level doesn't like you. I've had to continually defend team members or myself to upper management because one interaction with a particular exec didn't go as well. It's incredibly difficult to overcome any subpar first-impression.
The team also micromanages a ton with little room to challenge or negotiate. Despite the fact that one of the company principles is to challenge - it's looked down upon if you don't just go along with the recommendation.
The negative petty culture is very difficult which is a shame because the company mission and products are great.
