Pros

Extremely professional management; overall good work/life balance. Pay and benefits are very competitive and for the most part there are clear career paths.

Cons

Decisionmaking and approval process can sometimes be slower than for smaller companies, but this is not unusual for corporations of this size.

Pros

* Relaxed work culture * This is the best place for contract workers as they are given more importance than full time employees * Infact there is no difference at all for a full time and a contractor * Contractors get better salaries than full time employees * Contractors are even sent to Germany UK Japan for months together * And you know what we won ZinNow awards for gen Y engagement (LOL!!!)

Cons

* There is absolutely no advantage joining as an employee of continental India * Work for 9 hours 30 mins (more hours more products its a factory man!!) * CEO is such a visionary he has reduced all algorithm,coputer vision, embedded engineers to factory workers * The guy even got an award for calling it global software factory * Patent filing is given a lot of importance and a remuneration amount is so huge that we cannot imaging its Rs 20000 ( to be shared lol) * Competition is with apple google Tesla and factory workers will do it !!! * For diwali no gifts, for navratri one sweet box from the cheapest vendor what jockey factory workers get * Stationary items are to be obtained from the store open for 2 hours in a day!and the books and pens available are so bad that you wont even provide such items to your own kid to write * Mainly does maintenance work,Even the management is from service based companies no idea of product based companies * Team lunch is decided rarely that too on a budget of less than 5000 and if ask why they tell in xxx(previous company) its even less ha ha *Salaries are very low they and selection is done on the basis of salary and nothing else * The buses are dirty and dingy cannot compare to cisco/emc/samsung or infact any other company buses * If you see the bus on the road it would be same as the buses in which textile factory workers are being plied (even for them its free!!)

Nice place

Pros

After 5 years, here are some of the pros: + possibility to meet great colleagues and open minded people; + the workflow is dynamic and there are periods when a lot of changes are going on; + most people are young and the age gap is almost non-existent; + the working medium is professional - people know what they are doing, and if you don't know what to do, they will help you; + it's not about flattery (like in some small companies; I tried to use a nice word), but about actual results; + you get to learn things which you couldn't in a small company (because you interact with lots of disciplines and people, you won't be limited to doing only <insert_generic_SWDev_job_here>);

Cons

and cons.... - technology is outdated - being a big corporation, things change slowly on this part; - salaries are pretty small; - work can be sometimes repetitive; - upper management can't handle clients and projects because they always seek the biggest profit - this has detrimental effects in the long term; ----- being a german company, with german management, german way of thinking, and german style of doing business, they are losing big parts of the market; due to the industry inertia, the company doesn't try new things, because "nobody would buy that" - and now, companies like tesla will simply destroy this kind of competition, unless they start acting yesterday...
