Pros

stable job, okiesh benefits and a big name in the industry still. will get you exposure to big projects and deep insight into the industry.

Cons

training and technical development seldom happen. salaries unless you from the head start get hired with a good one will not be adjusted as they promise. so you will likely get promoted and retain the same salary. HR definitely not transparent enough. basically, they hire you to become a very involving gear....that is bound to rust.

Pros

Decent salary for new graduates. Variable compensation up to 12% of your fixed annual salary. Flexible schedule. Good life/work balance if you know how to say no. You will not get fired for saying no. Good as a first job, but I recommend hopping after a year as you will stagnate.

Cons

Bad career and salary progression. Expect very small raises (<3%), unless you move to another position, and even then they are not that good. Their justification for not paying more is because they claim we are an bubble in the software industry. Bad benefits for a IT/Software company: * Optional health insurance is not fully paid by the company(yes you have to pay a percentage) * Tire "discount" is used as bait during the job offer. The internal base price essentially negates the 53% discount they have. You will save ~5€ per tire when compared to "street" price Contract forces you to pay part of the training if you leave before 3 years. Before doing useless external training, ask the price and the contents. They say the probability of people leaving decreases after 3 years. Upper management from Germany is constantly reminding that Portugal and Mexico are "Best Cost".

Pros

Lot of cheerful talk form Upper Management- Makes you feel like they care but not really. - Pay is ok - Vacation plan is decent.

Cons

I was a Sr Engineer for 6+ years at their Troy location on H1-visa. Their immigration process is horribly slow & very bureaucratic. Senior Management is old, very political and no encouragement for internal talent. After 6+ years, all the needed experience, good annual reviews and PMP I was denied various PM role on multiple occasions for silly reasons, No promotions or growth. Management is eager to bring in new people and train them rather than encourage internal talent to take up leadership roles. Very traditional and old school management style. I feel like a waste of my time and talent with no growth. Finally, I'm out and do not recommend.
