Pros

There's so many positive things to say but I'll try to narrow it down: - Culture: I've encountered very few people that aren't good natured, always happy to help, have a team-work and can-do attitude, and always wanting to praise one another - Perks: They ain't cheap! - a plethora of free snacks stocked weekly, monthly lunch and happy hour (+more depending on your team), volunteer activities that always in happy hour, arcade room, etc. Oh, and you get to visit Paris to meet the global team once a year - Benefits: Great benefits, health care, match 401k, and reimbursement for your cell phone and commute - Office: Getting very cramped but we are moving to a bigger place soon - and that was after extensive input from all employees, they truly value your opinion - Other: Very little negativity all around, very transparent about the business in every way including earnings

Cons

- Depending on your team, you may not get the cushier perks that other teams do, but again dependent on your manager - Some red tape to deal with here and there, especially when it comes to promotions because of "global policies" - Minor communication growing pains between the US market and Paris sometimes

Hi, thank you so much for your feedback! We put a lot of effort into trying to make this a fun place that our employees enjoy being a part of. And the new office coming later this year will DEFINITELY address our current crampedness - this is just temporary growing pains! We can't wait for the new office either :) And if your team doesn't participate in the same perks as others, let us know! Criteo's got a fabulous environment, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be a part of it equally!

Pros

Smart, hardworking people at the individual contributor level (many of whom are now gone). Little micro-managing, but that’s because everyone’s bandwidth is near 0

Cons

Post–new CEO, the company has descended into complete chaos. There is no transparency around decisions that impact teams and roles. There have been consistent strategy, personnel, and supplier changes with no explanation, accountability, or follow-through. Cons, continued: Employee input and performance do not matter. Decisions feel driven by appeasing BoD and optics rather than results, input and reality. The culture has become a corporate hellscape of: Endless reorganizations with no clear rationale, including layoffs with no reasoning Vague all-hands meetings that avoid real issues, even when directly asked A massive disconnect between the C-suite and day-to-day reality Eroded trust and growing position insecurity Middle managers incentivized to prioritize managing up & executive optics over team advocacy “Return to Office” policy put in place when promised a “Work from Anywhere” position, where the RTO policy differs across employees’ location Little to no growth opportunities despite high performance Under-market average compensation that was justified by locale, “Work from Anywhere”, and flexibility — which was recently rolled back A clear favoritism to those that “talk the talk” vs “performance with numbers”

Pros

Fun outings Opportunity to go abroad

Cons

Terrible management, the French do not know how to manage or build a team of engineers and the in the US you need to brown nose the French hard to move up. Had a manager take me into a room to berate me, loudly, with strong words, where everyone could see and hear us. This was after I was working overtime to complete a project while my colleagues sat around watching. Sexism and racism both run rampant, especially on the business side and among those that graduated from the local university. Compensation was low compared to local companies and the reason I finally left.

We are sorry to hear your management experience didn't go well. Even though Management is a top priority, we know we can always do more. We have put a lot of effort over the years for our managers to get the appropriate knowledge, mindset, and management tools, so they're able to set you up for success. We also promote an open feedback culture by encouraging our employees to give feedback on their managers in the Annual Manager Performance Survey and reaching out to their local People Partner to discuss any concerns or issues they might have.
