Do not recommend - there is a lot of politics in the organisation

Pros

Global policies that must be followed.

Cons

Senior Management will always try to find a loop hole in the policies or politicise against employees to not give any proper salary adjustments for the hard work and dedication that is expected. Promotions and salary adjustments to those that actually work the least while the rest are left to dry.

Pros

Salary always on time ….

Cons

The workplace environment at the call center is deeply concerning, as many employees feel dehumanized, often working nearly ten-hour shifts without adequate breaks. Numerous individuals I’ve spoken with have expressed their dissatisfaction with the conditions, particularly the enforced seating arrangements that require staff to remain in their chairs for one and a half to two hours at a time, with their lunch and break schedules dictated by workforce planners. This approach seems unreasonable and disregards the well-being of employees. Additionally, there are serious issues regarding favoritism among management, with promotions often going to individuals of the same nationality rather than to those who demonstrate genuine hard work. During the heavy rains of April 2024, the customer service team faced significant challenges, as we were required to report to work while other departments were permitted to work from home, highlighting a lack of consideration for staff commuting from distant emirates. Furthermore, it was disheartening to learn that some employees received compensation for vehicle damage during this period, while others, including myself, were left without any support. Regarding the Country Manager, M H H, it appears that his primary focus is on profit maximization, seemingly for personal gain, as he is rarely seen unless there are visitors or social media opportunities. If true profitability is desired, it is essential to listen to the staff and acknowledge their contributions by providing fair compensation. The company has the financial capacity to increase salaries, and it would be prudent to follow the example set by Emirates Airlines, which rewards its employees with substantial bonuses. Ultimately, I am grateful to have moved on from DHL and wish my former colleagues the best in their future endeavors.

getting worse with time

Pros

50/50 work from home. office is nice. unionized.

Cons

low pay, few chances to advance. Increases to automation and no hiring means that the jobs for the remaining employees is getting more complicated with time, but with no pay or benefits increase to make up for it. Pay was competitive when i started, but has become less so with time.
