Not the worst, but is not that great either
Pros
-Generally, teammates are friendly. With the right people, shifts can be decent -Direct supervisors were very understanding of my school commitments too (eg. allowing me time off for class etc) -Weekend/Public holiday shift salary increment
Cons
- Upper-echelons does not directly communicate to you, they will observe, then relay whatever he/she saw and thought of that situation(without finding out the facts) to the direct supervisors/managers. -Shifts are really long, as expected, but especially for Singapore Lab outlet as the opening hours are later than others. -The "Satisfied or satisfied" customer practice is annoying as it enables as a win-win situation for customers whereby employees' opinions and inputs are to be held back. -Basic pay for Part-timers is not great. -Some direct leaders/supervisors do not practice active communication, whereby you can be informed of a certain change in your shift duty only the day before that shift. -Your direct leader/supervisor is very wary and in a sense, too afraid to say "No" to his bosses, at the expense of the morale and empathy to the team. -Too many people are "Yes" men and women in this organization, whereby I understand that the wages for full-timers can be decent thus, nobody is saying "No" nor telling their bosses how they really feel or think. -Not much work-life balance for those who are doing the shop floor/retail duties as the hours are that long.
