      Pros

      Deloitte is a school. You learn a lot, grow a lot, work with some of th ebest folks in the industry, Earn enough and ascend if you like to network and you are quite good in your job role.

      Cons

      Lots of travel, layoffs, perform or get booted, tons of firm initiatives which results in lots of hours of works per week. Easily 60+ hr weeks. Not for people that do not like to network. Networking with colleagues at all levels is needed or you are in the wrong place.

      Pros

      Good company - Big 4 firm, good opportunities/growth potential in job, and great benefits (including compensation). Corporate focus on diversity, ethics, growth through training, and work-life balance. Usually rated amoung the best places to work by employees.

      Cons

      Big firm whose clients are greatly impacted by the economy. Economic downturn results in employee lay-offs. Some restructuring based on senior management change. I had 5 supervisors in about 5 years. Sometimes it is harder for your accomplishments to be recognized. Too much email.
