      Great Place to start your career

      Pros

      Deloitte is overall a great place to start your career. I began as an Analyst right out of school and after four years have been promoted twice and am now a Senior Consultant. It has been a great place for me to develop my career as it provides you with MANY different opportunities for roles and projects. The other great thing about Deloitte is the people - they are all very intelligent and great to work with and that is probably the number one reason to come to Deloitte.

      Cons

      Deloitte expects you to work many hours to get the job done plus do firm activities and community service. While this is expected, it can begin to take toll on you when you have outside life activities to deal with.

      Needs better work/life Balance.

      Pros

      You will learn a lot on the accounting side in a short amount of time simply because you are "thrown into the fire". You get exposed to a lot of complex issues, but many times have to figure it out for yourself.

      Cons

      Work life balance is non-existent. You get 25 vacation days, but with very little opportunity to take these days because you are always so busy and always expected to get the job done.
