      IT IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY! DEVOID OF PEOPLE'S CARE - THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE MONEY OFF YOU! IT HAS BEEN A FEW WEEKS AND AFTER MY FIRST 3 DAYS WHEN I WAS DUMPED OUT TO FIGURE OUT BY MYSELF MY "HOTEL" WORKSTATION AND NOT HAVING ANYONE COME TO SAY HI, I'VE BEEN WANTING TO LEAVE! I feel that I have made the worse career move of my life. I'm an experience female with significant technical expertise (they hired me because of both - can't retain mid women managers and don't have enought knowleagle people to do the work- and this place and the way people treat you (you are just another body) goes against human nature and decency. They are all trying to protect their turf and their hours (not to give a single hour unless it benefits them). The first person I met (leader of the group I am supporting) hardly greeted me and just proceeded to tell me that I had to do "everthing" including things I have not done since over 20 years when I started my career. It is absolutely absurd! If you are considering this company don't accept their "glowing" offer until you meet the people you will be working with. Be warned, however, that no one is "your manager" yet many people "gossip" about you as they all seem to know what you are up to. It is as if they are conspiring to find out what you cannot do instead of helping you integrate to this white-walled, cold place. If you are over 50, most people you will work with are likely to be 1/2 your age. They are a very young company so that the PPDs can claim big salaries at the long hours of the younger/cheaper people or by using the LARGE group in India who are cheaper and will do what ever they are told to do. These young people have large egos - they are told that if they "don't make" it within their first 2 years they are out. And no one seem to care about you as an individual. They only care if you get them "out of trouble" since they seem to pose in many proposals as having all of this expertise and what they are doing is assigning young, green or unknowleable individuals to runs projects. I'm being "dumped" with problem projects because the existing senior leaders are not really competent. I can't help but be reminded every day of Donald Trump's "you are fired" show - this is how employees behave! I feel like I've made the worse professional mistake of my life.

      I was boomerang at Deloitte, its not the same work place I though it would be

      I would want to put my story out there and share my unpleasant experience with Deloitte during my short tenure, I joined in talent acquisition team in Oct 2022. Things seemed pretty great initially but turned upside down when I had down my papers and shared reason with my leaders that my spouse and I where soon having a baby and need some flexibility and could not travel for work. They said they could not lend any support and appreciate my decision of resigning. I was pretty sad that the Deloitte culture I knew and the support which I had during my last tenure was pretty awesome. Unfortunately it wasn't the same this time. Anyways I tried managing things personally and as couple we decided we will some how and manage things, hence I decided to withdraw my resignation. when I discussed with my managers, they said they could not help and support me anyway. well there could have been better management of the situation with little sensitivity, as company encourages employee flexibility. I think I left the organization with seeing its dark side and how insensitive are the leaders in Deloitte now.

      Some of my coworkers were cool, and there's often free food.

      Too many to name. I was lured in with the promise of work-life balance. Work-life balance is nonexistent. Working 16 hour days isn't uncommon. Part of why I left was because I was told I was leaving "early" because I always left at 6. If you're at the Mechanicsburg USDC, expect 60+ hour weeks. Not every project is like that, but many of them are. I was told no every time I tried to stand up for myself, or get shorter, more reasonable hours. They're desperate for more employees, so expect to be doing enough work for three people, but you won't be paid for that. Many projects are chaos. They aren't structured well, nothing is organized, people constantly say they'll do things and then don't, and because everyone is so busy, it's difficult to find help when you need it. If you want code that is cheap and delivered quickly, it will not be good. Deloitte is a perfect example of this. The applications they build are not pretty, and if you value having an organized system in place to get work done right the first time, do not work here. In fact, do not work here unless you want to work 70 hours a week for way less money than you'd be making working 40 anywhere else.
