Pros

Interesting job, serving the public with intrinsic higher purpose. Great work-life balance. Overall great benefit package. Attention to the well-being of the staff

Cons

The job requires long hours working with a PC to read text and search prior art.

Pros

I met very clever people

Cons

The manager there was very bad and impossible to handle. He yelled at the colleagues , fired almost all the team and was impossible to work with, but because he was internal I could see almost no consequences from their actions. Some people changed the country for work here and were fired from one day to other. Contractors has to pay 100% of coffee lunchs etc while internals only 50%. I felt contractors were second class employees and no matter how well you perform, you won’t have a permanent position without contacts.

Pros

No national taxes, interesting work, many clubs and activities paid by office, nice colleagues

Cons

Unfair salary scheme, weird promotions, production pressure too high, new contracts are only for 5 years and not permanent after one year like in the past
