Pros

Editorial and marketing colleagues very responsive in supporting field staff. A wealth of new products continually being released mean there is always something new to present.

Cons

Management decisions made too quickly surrounding business strategy and human capital which creates a lack of trust, and frustration among loyal staff.

Pros

Publishing business is going through some dynamic changes,so there are interesting challenges as part of the transformation. Good benefits and work environment.

Cons

Fits and Starts on technology investment and direction. Multiple initiatives that never made it through to final implementation. New features and enhancements for business lines, but under investment in technology upgrades, infrastructure. Inability to sunset marginal applications in the technology portfolio. IT development time-lines are unrealistic, but achieved through extraordinary efforts of a few.

Pros

The flex time in summer was great.

Cons

Just because someone is good at sales does NOT make them a good manager. My manager was horrible.
