A great place to work for, but don't be naive. - Technology Consulting Consultant Accenture Employee Review

Pros

The paid time off policy is best I've seen (25 days and can be used for vacation or sick days, which works great for a young, healthy workforce). Right away it becomes very evident that your peers are some of the best and brightest (and most motivated) and that you will fit right in. There is a strong emphasis on 'Best People' and it shows. The growth prospects is the number one reason to remain with the company. It seems that everyone is practically pushing you forward. Personal growth is not something one needs to fight for at Accenture, its something that is required. The clients that Accenture works with are the best in their industry, and you are constantly reminded that you work for the best in your industry. Travel opportunities are far beyond anything you find at other companies as well. Accenture is certainly not for the unambitious.

Cons

For the very reason that Accenture is a great place to work (well respected, surrounded by hard working individuals, constant growth, lots of travel), it can be a not-so-great place to work. There is a constant pressure of performing. The 'up or out' policy can have you looking over your shoulder, and can sometimes turn your peer into your enemy. A lot is expected of you, and if you don't meet those expectations, it will not be a happy experience. Travel can become very tiresome and repetitive, you have to have it in your heart in order to be happy. Accenture is not a place to 'settle down' into a career.

Pros

Hands down the best company I've worked for. It's fast-paced, but Accenture genuinely empowers its people rather than micromanaging them. The benefits are a real priority — they invest in your physical and mental health, offer a generous amount of PTO, and there are legitimate opportunities for promotion if you put in the work. If you're someone who gets bored easily in a role, this is one of the few places where you can stay with the same company and reinvent your career multiple times. The investment in training and upskilling is heavy and ongoing. And the culture around authenticity is real, not just a poster in the break room — especially in the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities, you're encouraged to bring your whole self to work and be comfortable being you.

Cons

This is not the place for you if you don't like change. Pivoting is constant, and keeping up with the latest industry trends can be uncomfortable at times. The sheer size of the organization means it can be hard to find the information you need, and learning the internal infrastructure takes a while. You'll also run into some negativity from folks during tough stretches — but honestly, if you're coming from a turbulent work history elsewhere, you'll recognize that this is much better than most.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
