Pros
I am so glad I decided to join the Adyen team. From the time I interviewed, I could tell this company was unique. Everyone spoke about the Adyen Formula, and was really passionate about what it meant to them. That hasn't changed in the time I've been here. It is the most talented, smart, ambitious group of people I've ever worked with - across all teams and levels. It's inspiring. Additionally, you are trusted when you work at Adyen. No one is micro-managing your day or work. You have the power and independence to make good decisions for your merchants and also drive your career growth. Lastly, the work environment is definitely an added bonus - global offices that you get to travel to multiple times a year, catered lunch, casual atmosphere, happy hours & team events.
Cons
One of the pro's of working at Adyen can also be a con. If you are looking for a very structured, hierarchical company - this is not it. Adyen gives you the freedom to work on what you are interested in, and grow your own career, but you have to take that ownership and run with it. You have to be invested in speaking up for what you want to do and where you want your career to go. No one is going to simply promote you or offer you more responsibility because you've been there a certain amount of time.
