Pros

Great experience Make some great connections and friends Everyone is generally around same age Pay is decent Learn many valuable skills from resume, interviewing, job market, etc. Learn something new everday Everything depends on which office you work for and who is your manager. Personally, I work in a great office and have a great manager who doesnt micromanage and is someone i am happy to work for. The majority of managers i have met are good people and understand what recruiters are going through but i have met some who would be horrible to work for. My hours are not bad at all and I actually enjoy going to work now.

Cons

Not much communication with manager but I suppose its better than being micro managed. Can be frustrating and discouraging sometimes Commission structure should be re-formatted Benefits stink Too corporate-ish Can be overwhelming at first being thrown into the fire, but can catch on and get comfortable quick The lack of communication and openness/availability for questions can make job difficult Have to do a majority of the research on your own time before you will feel comfortable talking with people about some positions Not a job for people who are unorganized or who cannot multitask. You have to train yourself to perform and focus on numerous things at once. If you do not develop a way to stay organized and plan very quickly you will get lost and will not be able to dig yourself out. There can be times where you have too much to do and not enough time especially when much of the people you leave a message tend to call back around the same time late in the day.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
