Pros

Aerotek will do its best to form a from that functions like a family. If you have a strong team or "triangle" there is virtually unlimited potential to make money. Promotions are based on your numbers and the more successful you are the better you will do with the company. Time off is typically not a problem but be careful asking for it. It is nice to be able to expense your lunches with clients and your first week you will be taken out to lunch virtually everyday. My experience was that my Account Manager was a very loyal man and under the same pressures that I was under accept more so they will do everything they can keep you going.

Cons

The company expects a great deal out of the recruiters. You will be expected to complete your work and stay on top of the schedule which can mean an incredible amount of hours each week. The problem is, this can take a major toll on your life and normal schedule. The job is incredibly stressful and incredibly unforgiving. The attrition rate amounts to about 1 person either quitting or being fired every other week by the averages in our office. I also had some problems with the training program. You are told that you are paid overtime however you will never see it. Your manager will simply tell you that they can only pay you for 40 hrs a week. You will then be expected to work upwards of 60. It is very frustrating. The office is a bit unprofessional as well. While you are trying to secure other people with employment you will have co-workers screaming across the office while you are on the phone.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
