Pros
Pay is good for entry level graduates. Bosses were very understanding and colleagues were great. Depending on your desk the workload can vary from very challenging to extremely slack. The company has done exceedingly well during the pandemic so the near term business outlook is good.
Cons
The work can be repetitive and the office environment rather siloed - everyone works in their own silos and there is little inter-desk exchange going on. Like many places you have to learn most things on your own and in the commodities market (especially gen fuels) this can be overwhelming. It typically takes about 1-2 years before you actually really know what's going on. There's also a slow uptake on newer data analysis tools despite the firm having its own data analytics department.
