Great place to gain experience in journalism, editing, economics, traded markets, project finance, regulation and global business trends. Upward progression is possible and pay is far better than mainstream journalism and a fair number of people end up joining the trading firms, global energy companies and other businesses.
Cons
No clear path for promotion. Daily price assessments and occasionally problematic IT can wear you down.
