Pros
It is a multinational company, it gives good visibility to your resume. If you need experience in several different roles to add to your professional life, ByteDance is the right company for that! Taking into account that when entering a position, you should expect to do your job and the job of other colleagues, including your leadership, receiving only your salary for this role deviation.
Cons
This company is not serious at all! It does not take into account the opinions of its employees. We don't want to work face-to-face just because other technology companies are working! This doesn't make any sense! The leadership supports this type of decision because they don't need to wake up 4 hours before their working hours to take precarious driving and get to work on time. Not to mention there's no room for us to do our job right! There are no meeting rooms, there is no infrastructure to work with and the office internet is precarious! Leaving my house to turn on my computer in another location and hold online meetings with people from other countries is an insane idea, it makes no sense and only serves to disrupt the life of the employee who knows very well how to do his job at home. 4 hours of driving is wasting precious time that the employee has to disconnect from work! It's unhealthy! ByteDance, you are losing great professionals who are spread around the world just because of a precarious location and a work style that is outdated! Working face-to-face is a thing of the past. Not to mention the highly unprepared leadership to do the job, often letting employees do their job due to lack of knowledge of the area. I had 3 burnouts working at this company and I don't recommend it to anyone! There is no opportunity for growth and the compensation is much lower than the market.
