Pros
There were some great people working there, and a lot of fun times. The effort to merge all of the separate systems into one held great promise, but ultimately was unsuccessful.
Cons
Management considered IT personnel to be a tremendous drain on the bottom line. They never acknowledged that without the automated systems created by IT, they would never have been able to process the volume of shipments. This changed somewhat after the hostile takeover, but the new owners determined that most of the tech work could be outsourced to India, and that the company only needed to retain a few project managers to (remotely) oversee the offshore team. Also, work schedule is built on the expectation of 60 - 70 hours / week.
