Pros
Cadence has/had some very bright and hard working employees, who are also good to work with. Cadence has made some good, key acquisitions.
Cons
R&D: Not much Research going on, and Development is reactionary in the name of 'customer driven'. Belief in Heros: Certain people are put in charge of groups or projects, because of close personal ties, or because they made a 'diving catch' once, but these people do not necessarily possess leadership qualities, nor are they nurtured or trained to be leaders.
