Pros

Some good people here and there, broad array of tech tools.

Cons

Even though the company suggests to assume a good intent, some people and HR makes it impossible. I am getting into all other issues such as letting people raise their voice to their inferiors, but once a guy at a manager position came to our office for a 5 minute chitchat during lunchtime and talking about the wedding he was invited to and his hopes to meet a girl there. This guy has been alone in New York for last 5 years by the way. Following his conversation, another guy in a senior manager position outright said if you can’t find women, try a guy in a very disrespectful way in the office. When a person reported this issue to HR, it took very long to process and waited until a reorg. Even though the person who insulted got laid off during the reorg, they also laid the person who reported the incident during the reorg. This should have been taken to the court actually, but the one who reported was sick and tired, then he didn’t want to have any interaction with the company anymore.

Pros

Note- last year there was 2018, would not allow that option. Employee engagement always high priority.

Cons

Note- last year there was 2018, would not allow that option. Highly focused on sales vs service.

Pros

Some of the smartest individuals in their fields. The focus is always “forward” and the company is willing to adopt new tech to stay ahead for the purposes of the company’s (key word there) benefit. Great PTO and benefits.

Cons

The company’s drive to keep itself moving forward has caused it to regress in other aspects. As a leading tech company first, and leading bank second, it’s embarrassing what their stance is on hybrid and remote work. The company can easily accommodate remote options for their employees not near main offices, but chooses not to. I am relocating to a major city with no major CapOne presence and their response was “too bad, either fly up weekly or you’ll be terminated for not meeting the hybrid requirements”. It’s embarrassing because most of my week is remote anyways. I wonder how many current and past employees have been impacted, and I’m worried about how much talent they’ll be pushing away in the coming years.
