Pros

- Worked with a nice group of people. - At the time of employment they still paid above the typical "starting" wages at other similar establishments.

Cons

*I used to be a former Apprentice (Assistant GM) who left for a year or so and came back to work as a crew member part time.* - Chipotle used to have an excellent culture that cared for their employees and product. They would go over crew member progress weekly and genuinely care about the quality of product they were serving. Their old motto used to be "We want a team of Top Performers Empowered to Achieve High Standards." I don't know if they even teach that anymore, they didn't when I worked there again, and the standard of employee training (no offense to them, they were very nice people) certainly represents that. - Upper Management Support (Area Manager and above) seemed to be non-existent and criticisms seemed more prevalent than encouragement. Motivation and incentive were sparse. They used to have a program called "Restaurateur" that would encourage and motivate the Team to achieve something for themselves, but they discontinued that, effectively taking away a goal for the Restaurant. - Ultimately, as a TL;DR - Chipotle lacks a culture that will develop employees to be the best they can be at work. They lack strong leadership, starting from the top (Corporate and such) down, that will teach and train their Teams to deliver their old motto: "We want a Team of Top Performers Empowered to Achieve High Standards."

Pros

Discounts on food and staff are friendly

Cons

Management does not really care. Sits in office and rarely helps. This does depend on the manager which affects the staff. Imagine working at minimum effort is the acceptable norm and a upper manager comes in complaining that things are wrong and does not fit standard
