Pros

- Some genuinely wonderful, smart, driven colleagues - Cool offices - Fun (on surface) industry to be in - Empowered female founder (of color) who started company with a focus on the consumer

Cons

-Rampant toxic masculinity. C suite consists of 3 white males who are buddies from Microsoft, other female execs also byproduct of nepostim. No diversity of thought among them, total lack of empathy and interest in non-quantitative things like employee and customer experience, and stifling hierarchy. Ideas and decisions always top down and made in name of profit/"get rich quick" over people, mission, ethics or values. - Per another negative review, certain teams and leaders clearly not valued and any concerns expressed about this were continually dismissed. - Gaslighting and toxic positivity were the norm. No culture of accountability or introspection. When company saw 50% attrition post-COVID, leadership claimed it was to be expected because of the external climate versus looking inward on how they may be the problem. - Funny contradictions. Time and time again there were "can't see forest for trees" scenarios given overemphasis on numbers and data and lack of qualitative insights and intuition. Or better yet, sometimes the numbers and data were manipulated in a mind boggling way to dismiss problems. Ex: "Not that significant on a percentage basis" said about sexual assault cases on platform with wellness partners. - Lots of moral and ethical red flags. Just look it up Trustpilot and the numerous lawsuits filed by customers and partners. Not hard to find/no secret.

Pros

There's some nice benefits, like ClassPass credits, good insurance, and remote.

Cons

First and foremost, if you're a POC, you need to stay far away from this place. There is absolutely no diversity, and majority of the sales org, including the leaders, are white women. The managers lack skill, and don't know how to sell or manage. They only became managers because of their connections or because they were there in the early days of ClassPass and stayed long enough to get promoted. Nothing based on merit or skill. The sales culture is very churn and burn. The retention rate is so low, and this company is like a revolving door. You become a "veteran" or senior employee if you have worked there longer than 4 months. They have extremely unrealistic goals for the sales org, and the leads are awful. And it's because the company is terrible, and doesn't invest in partner services or support, so gyms and salons tend to have a bad experience because the resources and support they have for them are abysmal. Not to mention the bad reputation that ClassPass has; if you call a lead that has been called before, you will get extremely frustrated owners. They will tell you that ClassPass reps are harassing them by constantly calling, but that is what you are taught to do as a rep. To wrap it all up, there is no diversity, incompetent leaders, and bad reputation.
