Pros

You may work in a range of client companies you wouldn’t normally get access to as a contractor.

Cons

Recruited in London and possibly deployed anywhere in the U.K. and that’s how they ease you out of the door when you burnout, you get assigned to somewhere you couldn’t sustain a commute. Experience here builds to nothing as you are switched reactively between business domains, technology stacks, class of solution, phase of delivery, engagement types, and delivery approaches. You may as well sign up to a commitment for blind-date contracting; the amount of support you get makes it basically just that.

Pros

You get exposure to the very latest technology, and the company is implementing it in impactful, real-world ways. Even if you're not in a tech role, you naturally build deeper understanding in the latest technologies that you may never get exposure to at other companies. Truly global. Even for employees not in global roles, you still get good visibility into the company's global scale and impact.

Cons

Too much process around approvals which reduces speed of execution. Asked to step-up but then insufficient support provided. Two-faced behaviors of managers has become acceptable.
