Pros
I experienced a lot of freedom in my day-to-day. But that's because of the cons.
Cons
No accountability. No career development. No mentoring. No recognition. No game plan. After 3 years of investing my time with this company, I don't have much to offer my new employer. Because I didn't feel like I was valuable to my manager, responsibilities were not outlined, I had no idea what my coworkers really did and vice versa. We did not work together as a team and there was a hostile work environment. There was also unprofessionalism from poor communication skills and inappropriate communication. In addition, there was some sexual harassment happening but any type of conversation to HR led to nothing but retaliation to the reporting employee and you were left with constant anxiety. Hiring practices were questionable--some employees had to run through series of corporate type interviews including making a presentation. While others were hired after one interview revolving around personal hobbies. Another employee was hired for a role in which the employee would preferably have an MBA, yet this hire didn't not have a Bachelor's degree. They are lucky they have not yet been sued.
